What is The Autumnal Equinox?
The autumnal equinox is one of eight sacred days in the Celtic calendar, along with the solstices and other festivals like Samhain and Imbolc.
The autumnal equinox is the astronomical beginning of fall in the Northern Hemisphere and spring in the Southern Hemisphere, occurring when the sun crosses the celestial equator, heading southward. The term “equinox” means “equal night,” signifying a time when day and night are almost perfectly equal in length across the globe.

Spiritually, the autumnal equinox symbolizes balance between day and night, a call for gratitude and reflection on the year’s harvest, and a time for inner transformation as nature turns inward to prepare for winter. It encourages us to let go of what no longer serves us, express thanks for abundance, and embrace cycles of growth, stillness, and spiritual renewal before the darker, more introspective months begin.

How do we celebrate?
Seasonal Bounty: Wood Fired Pizza made with local ingredients will be available compliments of local farmer and chef Samantha of Fulla Za Mobile Pizza.
Mead Release – The making of and sharing of mead is within the historic rituals of the seasonal wheel. We will be releasing our 2025 batch of Spiced Apple, a sparkling apple botanical mead with cinnamon, ginger, clove, star anise, nettle, and elecampane root.
Bonfires – Gathering around fire in community & intention setting.
Offerings – Complimentary Herbal Medicine & Ritual Activities for all ages.
Altar – Bring a nature item that signals autumn to place on the altar (a flower, something from nature, etc). Candle lighting and intention setting activities available.
We look forward to seeing you there.
